Introduction and Boolean Tool

Seasons

The seasons I am selecting for my designs are December, March and July. This will help represent three different seasons; Winter, Spring and Summer. The difference between these seasons will help produce unique and contrasting images from each other.

December – I chose this month as it is one of the most festive times of the year being that it contains Christmas. Christmas is an important time of year for everyone and is top of the list when thinking of events throughout a year.

March – I chose March for a few reasons. One being that it feels like the official start to spring and so would mark the change in seasons. Another reason would be that Easter is either just around the corner or falling into this calendar month itself. The final reason is that this month contains my birthday.

July – Again I chose this month so my three scenes would be very different from each other. July is the beginning of the school holidays and is when many families choose to go on vacation.

BOOLEAN TOOL

In the lecture today we were learning about booleans. This is a few screenshots of various ways the boolean can be used once the objects have been linked together using the suboption 'union':This screenshot (above) shows a box and sphere joined together to create one shape. Below is the same object but using the sub-option of boolean called 'intersection'.
This final image of the boolean tool is the subtraction of object a from object b:
